L&O PRODUCTIONS is one of Britain’s smallest boutique development units. We fund first readings and development workshops of shows which we think have strong professional potential. Live projects include:

Long Live the Post Horn!: L&O acquired the rights to adapt, workshop and show a new musical based on the novel by Vigdis Hjorth. Critics of L&O say that a musical about the introduction of competition into the market for sub-50g postage in Norway is too commercial slash a betrayal of L&O’s small-scale ethos but we say nuts to them.

Rossum’s Universal Robots: BBC Radio 3 commissioned a radio musical, ultimately broadcast in April 2022, but had no space in their budget for development. L&O funded workshop, rehearsals and development reading at Network Theatre, December 2021. L&O working with Ally Pally Theatre on a workshop for further development.

Fake: After a covid-affected reading in Bolton in 2021, L&O partnered with Jermyn St Theatre to fund rehearsals and a workshop reading, August 2022.

We’re very sorry, but we don’t read unsolicited scripts.
